| Bryson Pumpkin Giveaway 2011 |
| FREE PUMPKINS !!Join us on October 16, 2011 between 10:00 and 2:00 for our 4th annual Bryson Pumpkin Giveaway! This year we can help bring a cure for Diabetes just a little bit closer, at the same time helping those children in the Durham Region deal with this disease. The Charles H. Best Juvenile Diabetes Centre, located on Columbus Road in Whitby, is the only one of its kind in Canada, relying on the support of corporate partners and the local community as it helps to educate families dealing with the daily management of Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. All monies received as part of this year’s Pumpkin Giveaway will go to the Best Centre. And whatever that amount happens to be, Bryson will be matching it in support of the Canadian Diabetes Association’s corporate marathon in which its staff will be participating on May 20th. What started out four years ago as a simple way to extend our thanks to the wonderful people of our community has now snowballed into a highly anticipated event that has worked its way on to the calendars of many. Last year, more than 800 pumpkins were carefully selected from our front yard “patch”. In exchange for the pumpkin, we only asked for a donation of a non-perishable food product in support of Durham’s Feed the Need program for which our office is one of two drop-off locations. Again, the community response was overwhelming and Feed the Need Durham was able to fill the tummies of more hungry children. We encourage you to stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to meet our staff, join us for a Starbucks coffee, popcorn, face painting for the kids and much more. |
